The goal was to design a cost-effective, secure, and easy-to-use system that could be comfortably carried or worn during operations. It needed to meet military-grade standards for durability and reliability, while remaining lightweight and ergonomic.
• Modular and Lightweight: Built to minimize physical strain while ensuring portability and comfort during long missions.
• Integrated Technologies: Features a combination of sensors, communication modules, and power systems in a seamless setup.
• Rugged and Reliable: Engineered to perform under harsh environmental conditions, complying with strict operational standards.
• Clear and Responsive Interface: Prioritized real-time usability with a simple, intuitive interface optimized for fast interaction and situational awareness.
The logo was custom-designed to reflect the core purpose of ATOK: field operability and mission focus. It combines a soldier silhouette with a target icon, seamlessly integrated into the typography of the ATOK wordmark. This fusion visually reinforces the system’s tactical identity—representing readiness, precision, and protection. The design strikes a balance between boldness and clarity, making it instantly recognizable in both digital and physical applications.
Field personnel often face operational challenges in unpredictable and high-risk environments. Existing systems are either too bulky, lack real-time adaptability, or fail to meet the ergonomic and mobility needs of modern missions. There was a clear need for a lightweight, wearable solution that could support situational awareness without compromising agility or security.
ATOK was developed as a compact, wearable system that combines modular technology with real-time communication and tracking capabilities. Its design prioritizes usability, durability, and seamless integration into mission workflows—enabling personnel to stay connected, informed, and safe throughout the operation.
I designed the ATOK logo by integrating military symbolism into a clean, modern wordmark. I also designed the full visual identity of the product, including its color system, typography, and branding elements. In addition, I created the user interfaces for both the mobile application and the smartwatch version, focusing on clarity, usability, and mission-critical functionality.
